For the past two decades, Cecilia Brunson Advisory has specialised in curatorial guidance, industry knowledge and collection management for collectors interested in acquiring blue chip Latin American art.

Cecilia Brunson’s advisory expertise draws on her richly varied experience within the industry. Hailing from Santiago, Chile, she was awarded a Fulbright scholarship and moved to New York in 1992 where she obtained Masters degrees in Art History (Bard College) and in Curatorial Studies (The Centre for Curatorial Studies). In the early 2000s, Brunson worked as Exhibition Coordinator at The Americas Society in New York and as Associate Curator of Latin American Art at The Blanton Museum of Art in Austin, Texas, which holds a pioneering public collection of Latin American art.

  • From 2006-2008, Brunson was the Latin American Correspondent for Artforum and founded INCUBO, the first not-for-profit residency programme for international curators in Santiago. In 2009, Cecilia moved to London and co-founded the AMA Fellowship, an annual grant enabling a Chilean artist to participate in the Gasworks Residency Program in London.

Drawing on specialist knowledge and networks, Cecilia Brunson Advisory offers professional guidance both to the next generation of private individuals with a keen focus on Latin American art and to established collectors and institutions looking to expand their collections.
