Lizi Sánchez: Constelaciones Carbónicas

London-based, Peruvian artist Lizi Sánchez will present works from an ongoing series entitled Constelaciones Carbónicas. These works are carbon copy paper maps that embody and represent the artist’s personal universe, containing annotations and writings from her daily life. For this show, Sánchez will present new maps where alongside her present notes she traces writings from across generations of her family. The carbon copy paper is the membrane, the skin, that filters the vast number of notes, lists, sketches, documents, drawings, etc. that are part of her life.
